Do you remember building legos when you were in elementary school and following a manual to build a construction site? Robotics goes hand-in-hand with that. Robotics is the process of designing, and building a blueprint for making robotics to perform certain tasks to become efficient and effectively execute these functions in different fields.
Artificial intelligence can be vital to helping the process of robotics in society. In robotics, robots can detect if there are certain obstacles on the path they are programmed to take designed by humans. A downside is that it takes a lot of time and energy from humans to make the robots do certain tasks.
Artificial intelligence takes this to another level. It can enable robots to analyze their surroundings and help with processes and problem solving to avoid errors and exceptions. This would decrease the reliance on humans to build robots and make them perform tasks in their favor and instead by artificial intelligence.
Robotics is important because it helps increase economic efficiency and growth by assisting humans in manual labor and tasks. Though, it is estimated that 30% of human jobs could get replaced by artificial intelligence and robots by 2030, or around 20 million jobs.
As some proportion of the job sector for humans will most likely get replaced by robots and artificial intelligence, it is also important to value how vital robotics and automation can be assisted in society alongside the performance of artificial intelligence.
