It has become increasingly clear that with the population of the world increasing at a rate faster than natural resources and medication can sustain. The urgent need for assistance in the medical field has emerged throughout the last decade and for the future of society.
Artificial intelligence can play a crucial role in providing numbers that can take care of the growing population over the coming decades. As higher numbers of incurable diseases emerge, artificial intelligence can be a factor to find a cure sooner rather than later. More than this, artificial intelligence can take more relief off doctors by finding diagnosis for patients and help find treatments easier. Obviously, the likelihood of artificial intelligence performing medical operations is slim to none because no one would want to risk a patient’s life over a robot.
However, there are still many other ways that artificial intelligence can help the medical realm. Specifically, a process known as deep learning has already played an impact in radiology surrounding the field of eye detection through computer aids. We can expect that this role can project in the future for other fields. However, as you could expect with artificial intelligence, more and more jobs will get replaced in the medical field which is even more devastating considering that medical jobs are one of the most common types of jobs in the world.
More and more people will have to rely on applying for other jobs and give up their dream jobs. Though, as of now we shouldn’t need to worry about artificial intelligence taking over medical jobs, only their role in the medical world.
