Through the rise of the genius of the internet, has come great upsides as it has transformed efficiency and technological innovation for contemporary society, but also for the future.
Though, there are also downsides that come with this. For example, a rise in technology has led to an increase in the amount of hackers stealing data from innocent people across the internet. Not just this, data breaches across the world have occurred. For example, in 2023, U.S. consumers have lost $10.3 billion to fraud increasing dramatically from previous years. We can only expect that this number keeps on increasing as time goes on. However, with the rise of technology came along the rise of artificial intelligence in recent years.
Artificial intelligence can help create a defensive mechanism to stop the hackers from breaching data precious to the people. Through the process, artificial intelligence can track down the hacker’s network in order to navigate their personal information and therefore provide information to report to the police.
Furthermore, artificial intelligence could also prevent phishing from occurring through emails as it has recorded a 98% chance to detect if there is anything suspicious that is sent out to vulnerable people. As a result, artificial intelligence can help aid the public that suffers with data breaches that occur due to hackers. Data breaches can be especially damaging to the economy as the government has a high responsibility to take care of the nation as well as the community of those affected without aid.
Artificial intelligence can help mitigate all of these problems and expose vulnerabilities in hackers to avoid potential future outcomes of users losing their confidential information to these hackers.
